UPS Setup
The UPS comes with all hardware required for installation in a standard EIA or JIS seismic rack-mount
configuration with square and round mounting holes. The rail assemblies adjust to mount in 48-cm (19-inch)
racks with front to rear rail distances from 61
to 76 cm (24 to 30 inches) deep.
Checking the UPS Accessories
Verify that the following items are included with the UPS:

UPS front cover
l
Communication terminal block connectors:
- (3) two-pin connectors
- (2) two-pin connectors with jumpers
- (1) three-pin connector
l
(2) wire saddles
l
Communication cable (DB-9/DB-9)
l
Documentation and software tools
- Software Suite CD
- BladeUPS: Documents, Firmware, and Installation Video CD
- This user’s guide
l
Mounting brackets and fasteners (if not already installed):
- (2) mounting brackets
- (8) 6-32 flat-head screws
l
Rails and fasteners:
- (2) sliding rail assemblies (left and right)
- (2) rear hold-down brackets
- (16) M5 machine screws
- (8) M5 clip nuts for racks with round holes
- (8) M5 cage nuts for racks with square holes
- (8) M6 hex nuts with integrated washers
Parallel system only. Verify that the following items are included with each Powerware Hot Sync CAN Bridge
Card
:
l
CAN Bridge Card cable with (2) RJ-45 connectors
l
Redundant signal cable with (2) two-position terminal block connectors
l
(2) blue terminating plugs
NOTE If you are installing the EBM with a new UPS at the same time, use the UPS users
guide to install both the UPS and the EBM.
NOTE Mounting rails are required for each individual cabinet.
